Two drivers escaped serious injury after a semi wrecked near Hartford on Monday morning.
Lyon County Deputy Tom Hardin says the crash happened around 9:45 am in the 800 block of Road Y-5, about two miles south of Hartford. The incident developed after a Bruce Davis Construction tractor-trailer rock truck driven by 63-year-old William Gosney of Burlington had its passenger-side tires leave Road Y-5. The semi went off the road and re-entered, rolling in the process.
Also, 35-year-old Nicholas Bess of Hartford swerved to avoid the semi. The evasive action sent his vehicle through a barbed-wire fence.
Both drivers were observed or treated at the scene and declined hospital trips afterward.
