Emporia High sophomore Elise Eckert shot a season-best 78 to finish fifth at the Topeka West Invitational played at Western Hills Golf Course on Monday.
Eckert’s round consisted of a 40 on the front nine while shooting a 38 on the back nine.
Ella Fessler finished 38th with a round of 97. Nicole Dalton finished 51st with a 108. Kelsey Shull finished 59th with a 122.
As a team, the Lady Spartans finished ninth with a score of 405.
Emporia High will travel to Wichita for the Maize South Invitational to be played at Auburn Hills Golf Course in Wichita on Thursday.
