Emergency response on the Kansas Turnpike will be a focal point for Lyon County commissioners this week.
Lyon County Emergency Communications Director Roxanne Van Gundy will present a mutual aid agreement involving calls on the Kansas Turnpike, with Lyon, Butler and Chase counties and the Turnpike Authority all involved. Other details about the agreement have not yet been released.
Commissioners also have three executive sessions planned, two for non-elected personnel and one for legal matters. Commissioners have said they plan to announce the county’s new human resources director Thursday after executive sessions last week.
The meeting starts at 9 am Thursday at the County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
