It’s Homecoming for the Emporia High football team as it hosts Topeka High on Friday night at Welch Stadium.
The game also serves as the Spartans’ Centennial League opener. Both teams are 0-3, while Topeka High is 0-1 in league.
Coach Kaden Glinsmann says the Spartans have to be locked in even with Homecoming festivities taking place.

Senior Enrique Rios is adjusting to being a 2-way player for the Spartans.
