With storms clear of the KVOE listening area, there have been several reports of heavy rain and large hail.

*KVOE studios: 0.35 inches
*Emporia Municipal Airport: 0.01 inches
*Neosho Rapids: 1.75-inch hail and 2 inches rainfall
*Reading: 3.7 inches rainfall
*1 mile east of Reading Lake: 2.6 inches rainfall
*2 miles northeast of Saffordville: 1-inch hail
*8 miles north-northeast of Strong City: 2.25 inches rainfall
*Toledo: 1.25-inch hail and 2 inches rainfall
*US Highway 50 east of Strong City: 1-inch hail
*US Highway 50 and ZZ Road (Chase County): 1-inch to 1.5-inch hail. Water reported over ZZ Road north of US-50.
Storms also led to several non-injury crashes on the Kansas Turnpike and one reported injury crash just over 10 miles northeast of Emporia. Emporia Fire says four people declined hospital trips afterward.

*The Emporia High boys soccer game against Topeka High has been postponed until further notice. The junior varsity match, delayed by lightning, was stopped and will not resume.
