Results are still pending after an apparently fatal house fire in western Lyon County late last week.
Investigators continue piecing together how fire developed in the house at 1993 Road G early Friday. A man and woman were found dead as firefighters and Lyon County deputies combed through the house. Names have not been released as the autopsy process continues.
The house was destroyed. A cause has not been announced.
Several agencies are collaborating as the investigation continues, including Lyon County deputies, Emporia Fire and the Office of Kansas State Fire Marshal.
