Some changes are taking place at the Emporia Public Library — and not just the ones that you see.
New doors are getting installed at the same time the library has adjusted its organization chart. Library Director Pauline Stacchini used KVOE’s Morning Show to announce Kimberlee Cook as Assistant Director for Access Services. Stacchini says Cook brings a Library and Information Management degree from Emporia State, as well as experience directing ESU’s Academic Center for Excellence and Student Success. She says Cook’s experience with computers, management and interaction with lifelong learners is big as the library moves forward.
Stacchini also announced Kendra Spade as Assistant Director for Operations Services after a promotion from business manager, and she mentioned a goal of adding an adult services coordinator at some point down the road.
Those follow announcements of Gloria Jurado as Youth Service Coordinator, supplanting longtime employee Lori Heller, and Megan Love as the Youth Services Librarian. Residents can learn more about library activities by going online to emporialibrary.org or by finding the library on social media.
