Harveyville has a big celebration coming this weekend.
The town’s United Methodist Church is marking the 10th year since it rebuilt following a tornado in 2012 with activities Sunday. The worship service at 10 am will be followed by a catered lunch.

Harveyville was hit by a rare February tornado. The fast-moving, EF-2 tornado damaged much of central Harveyville and killed one person despite being on the ground for less than five minutes.
