Emporia city commissioners have a number of items ahead for their meetings Wednesday.
The action session begins at 11 am at the Municipal Court Room. Commissioners could authorize the sale of nearly $10 million in general obligation bonds before hearing a request from Fairview Hotels for a Community Improvement District regarding its hotel project in northwest Emporia. Commissioners could also annex 515 South West into the city limits.
Consent agenda items include easement acquisition for Industrial Park III and an incentive compliance agreement with Simmons Foods.
The study meeting begins afterward at City Conference Room 1 AB. Commissioners will discuss the purchase of fire equipment, specifically training props and extrication tools, and they will get another water system update with the city still in a water watch and voluntary conservation until further notice.
