It is that time of year once again when cases of influenza begin to become more commonplace across the area.
With the uptick in illness, comes plenty of opportunities for residents to get their annual flu vaccine including the CareArc Drive Thru clinic held Friday. As in years past, residents could drive up to the center, fill out their needed paperwork and receive their shot without ever having to leave their vehicles.
CareArc Public Health RN Khora Burright says convenience is always great in helping get more people in to receive their vaccine.
After seeing an earlier start to the flu season last year, Burright tells KVOE News flu traffic this year has been relatively normal thus far.
CareArc will begin administering vaccines through the health clinic Monday for those unable to attend Friday’s event. Walk-ins are welcomed or you can simply receive your vaccine if you already have an appointment scheduled.
