A year’s worth of planning has led to a celebration 150 years in the making.
Chase County officially begins its sesquicentennial celebration of its courthouse with a parade on Broadway at 2 pm. Chase County Chamber of Commerce Director Toni Schneider says the buzz around the celebration isn’t limited to Chase County or surrounding counties.
After the parade, Chase County’s high school football team plays Lyndon at 7 pm — the Area Game of the Week on Mix 104.9 FM. Overlapping the football game will be the Emma Chase Friday night free music jam at Prairie PastTimes, starting at 7:30 pm, and the 1873 Victorian Ball at Chase County Old School, starting at 7 pm.
