The Emporia State volleyball team ended a six-match losing streak with a straight-sets sweep 25-20, 25-23, 25-19 over Pittsburg State at John Lance Arena in Pittsburg, Kan. on Saturday night. The Lady Hornets outhit the Gorillas .254 to .183 in the match while outblocking PSU 7-2. The ESU defense forced 19 Pitt State attack errors while the Lady Hornets only had nine misfires in the match. Junior outside hitter Sandora Sasaki continued her streak of double-digit kills in every match of the season with a match-high 18 and picked up her fourth-straight double-double with 14 digs. Tasiah Nunnery tallied 9 kills while hitting .364 with 10 digs and four blocks. ESU improves to 8-8 on the year and 2-6 in MIAA action. The Lady Hornets return to action Tuesday in the Turnpike Tussle against Washburn. First serve set for 6:00 p.m. at White Auditorium.
