Two local boards dedicated to business development are having separate meetings this week.
Emporia Enterprises will meet at 4 pm Wednesday at Trusler Business Center, 719 Commercial. There will be an update on Emporia’s industrial parks and an executive session for economic development projects.
The Regional Development Association of East Central Kansas Board of Directors meets at 7 am Friday, also at the Trusler Business Center. Topics for this meeting will include Flint Hills Technical College’s master plan initiative to support regional workforce needs, committee updates and term expirations for board appointees.
Emporia Enterprises is a key partner for the RDA because it works to acquire land for industrial parks as well as green-field sites for both light industrial and warehouse or distribution projects.
