Repairs are complete and water service has been restored following a water main break in east Emporia Monday.
Underground Utilities Crews wrapped up repairs at 10th and Weaver just before 7 pm, a little more than four hours after the break was originally reported. Water service was put on low pressure in the area throughout the duration of the repairs.
The 10th and Weaver situation follows a line break that occurred in the 2200 block of West 22nd shortly after 4:30 pm Sunday. Both breaks come with the city still in a water watch, meaning voluntary conservation measures are requested, likely until the end of October.

Emporia Public Works crews are working to repair their second water main break in as many days.
Crews were alerted to a water main break at the intersection of 10th Avenue and Weaver Street just before 2:30 pm. According to the city of Emporia, water service will be put on low pressure until repairs are complete.
