Emporia High sophomore Kali Keough finished her tennis season with a fourth-place finish at the Class 5A state tennis tournament.
Keough lost to Jette Glasenapp of Shawnee Heights in the semifinals, 3-6, 6-4, 6-2. Keough was defeated 6-1, 6-3 to Molly Gaddis of Andover.
Keough finishes her season with a 25-9 record. Emporia High finished in a tie for eighth as a team with Keough being the lone state qualifier.
Keough will be one of three returners back for Emporia High next fall. Sophomore Peyton Chanley and Kinsley Hines will also return.
