The Emporia High girls golf team is set to play in the Class 5A state golf tournament at Carey Park in Hutchinson that begins Monday.
Two of the four Lady Spartans are making return trips to state, sophomores Elise Eckert and senior Ella Fessler. Senior Nicole Dalton and freshman Kelsey Shull are making their first trips to state.

All four Emporia High players will tee off from Hole No. 10. Freshman Kelsey Shull tees off at 9:20 a.m., followed by senior Nicole Dalton at 9:30 a.m. Fessler tees off at 9:40 a.m. with Elise Eckert teeing off at 9:50 a.m.
Emporia Golf Course is hosting the Class 6A state golf championship. The Osage City girls golf team and Council Grove’s Haylie Grant are competing in the Class 3-2-1A state golf championship being held in Hesston.
