The Emporia State women’s soccer team played its final regular season home match on Sunday against Missouri Southern at the ESU Soccer Pitch.
Two Mackenzie Dimarco goals were enough as the Hornets defeated the Lions, 2-1.
Dimarco scored her first in the 45th minute and added her second in the 48th minute.
Missouri Southern scored its lone goal in the 60th minute on a penalty kick.
Emporia State outshot the Lions 21-9 and 13-3 on goal.
For Dimarco, she now has 71 career goals and 10 on the season.
Emporia State is now 5-5-4 on the season and 4-2-1 in the MIAA. Emporia State concludes the regular season with four consecutive road matches beginning on Friday at Newman.
