An Americus man was the only person reported as hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash in Fort Scott on Saturday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says the crash happened just before 1 pm. Troopers say Jakub Dowell, age 29, was driving a car eastbound on East Third at US Highway 69 when a northbound car on US-69, driven by 18-year-old Emiley Greenway of Bronson, failed to stop at a red light and hit Dowell’s car.
Dowell was listed with suspected minor injuries but was taken to Ascension Via Christi in Fort Scott for observation and treatment. Nobody else specified in the report was listed as injured. Three juveniles were listed as being in the vehicles, one in Dowell’s car, but the Highway Patrol says their conditions are protected data and thus will not be released.
