The sub-state assignment is out for the Emporia High volleyball team.
Emporia High is the No. 9 seed in the 5A west sub-state and will travel to Andover Central to face Bishop Carroll.
Bishop Carroll and Emporia High will meet for the second time this season. Carroll defeated the Lady Spartans, 25-23, 25-11 in a consolation semifinal of the Emporia High Tournament on Saturday.
Emporia High and Carroll will meet at approx. 3 p.m. Saturday with the winner taking on either Andover Central or Arkansas City in the sub-state championship match for a trip to Salina.
