KVOE’s Drive for Food is Thursday morning.
On KVOE’s Morning Show on Monday, both Salvation Army Capt. Mylie Hadden and Spartan Stop Coordinator Heather Wagner asked residents to donate nonperishable food items, saying shelves are empty heading into the drive. Capt. Hadden calls the drive a major way to serve the community.
Wagner says demand is increasing at Spartan Stop as well.
Both the Salvation Army and Spartan Stop need a broad range of items.
To participate, call KVOE at 620-342-1400 or email hartere@kvoe.com before Thursday morning — and then leave your donation on your porch. If you would rather, you can also drop off items at any of several drop-off locations. The list will grow but currently includes:
*Newman Regional Health – Entrance C or Entrance F
*Bluestem Farm and Ranch – 2611 W Hwy 50
*LCAT – 402 Commercial #205
*ESB Financial – 7th & Merchant
*ESB Financial – 12th & Industrial
