Two members of the Emporia High girls golf team are advancing to day two of the Class 5A state golf tournament at Carey Park in Hutchinson.
Sophomore Elise Eckert shot an 82. Eckert is currently in a tie for fifth.
Senior Ella Fessler shot an 86. Fessler is currently in a tie for 14th.
Senior Nicole Dalton shot a 100 and freshman Kelsey Shull shot a 131.
Fessler will tee off at 10:10 a.m. with Eckert following at 10:20 a.m. both off Hole No. 1 at Carey Park.
As a team, the Lady Spartans finished 11th missing the cut recording a score of 399.
