For the second straight morning, Emporia’s Underground Utilities Department is mobilizing to fix a water main break.
Crews responded to West Ridge Drive just before 6:30 am. Service will be disrupted, according to City Communications Manager Christine Johnson, although it appears any disruptions will be isolated and will not impact Emporia Middle School, Emporia High, Timmerman Elementary or shopping areas along Industrial.
This follows a break reported around 6:30 am Monday at Lawrence and Grove. It took crews almost four hours to repair that break.
