Emporia State quarterback Braden Gleason was named the D2Football.com National Offensive Player of the Week after throwing for 421 yards in the Hornets victory over Washburn last weekend. Gleason completed 42 of 49 passes and four touchdowns in the Hornets’ 38-23 win over the Ichabods. It was Gleason’s second 400-yard passing game of the season as he won the MIAA Offensive Player of the Week award for the second time this year. Gleason also received the Offensive Player of the Week award from The College Football Network this week. Gleason now has 9,663 passing yards and 10,582 yards of total offense. The #24 Hornets are on the road Saturday to face #16 Central Missouri in Warrensburg. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Pregame coverage begins at 12:30 p.m. on Mix 104.9.
