For the second time in seven days, the Emporia High volleyball team was matched up against Bishop Carroll on Saturday in a 5A sub-state semifinal in Andover.
Bishop Carroll swept the Lady Spartans in their second meeting of the season, 25-22, 25-18.
Emporia High had tied the match at 11 in set 2 but couldn’t gain the lead and force a deciding third set.
Emporia High finishes its season 25-12 and graduates six seniors, Addie Kirmer, Kyla Herfkens, Taylor Cunningham, Alexa Shivley, Ryan Peak, and Lexsey Dewitt.
