The Emporia State volleyball team lost a three-match winning streak in a 25-18, 19-25, 26-24, 20-25, 15-12 defeat to Central Missouri at White Auditorium on Saturday afternoon. The Jennies lit up the Lady Hornets in the first set out hitting them .412 to .094 but the Lady Hornets came back to win a tight second set. The Jennies outkilled ESU 18-10 in the third but ESU forced 9 UCM attack errors. The set slipped away late before ESU bounced back to win the fourth while hitting .414. The Jennies tallied nine kills to E-State’s six to win the fifth. Sandora Sasaki prolonged her double-figure kill streak with 18 while McKenya Sorrells added 13. Anakaren Chavez had 28 digs. ESU falls to 11-10 and 5-8 in ‘Association’ play. ESU returns to action Tuesday at #8 Nebraska-Kearney. First serve is set for 6:00 p.m.
