Emporia High senior Laney Cooper wrapped up her high school gymnastics career at the state gymnastics meet in Newton on Saturday.
Cooper finished in a tie for 17th with an 8.85 in vault. Cooper finished 28th in floor with a score of 8.275. She finished 34th in bars with a score of 6.125.
Cooper was one of five seniors on this year’s team. Other seniors Emporia High graduates besides Cooper include Grace Isch, Linley Mendenhall, Marley Mullen, and Sara Chapman.
