Two members of the Emporia High cross country teams qualified for state at regionals in Wichita on Saturday.
Freshman Madison Evans will be making her first trip to state after a fourth-place finish a regionals with a time of 20:07.86
Junior Daghyn True qualified for state with a sixth place finish with a time of 16:43.35.
The Emporia High boys finished sixth while the Emporia High girls finished fifth
Freshman Emma Beatty was the second Lady Spartan to finish as she finished 13th with a time of 20:53.64.
Junior Gideon Lowery was the second Spartan to finish as he ran a 17:40.61 good for 18th.
The Class 5A state cross country meet is on Saturday at Rim Rock Park outside of Lawrence. Evans will run at 10:35 a.m. while True will run at 12:20 p.m.
