Emporia’s Underground Utilities crews have been busy Monday afternoon and evening.
Crews responded to a break in the 1000 block of State shortly after 6 pm, following a break at 24th and West View Terrace shortly before 4 pm. The break in northwest Emporia was fixed shortly after the break on State was reported.
4 pm Monday: Water main break reported near Emporia Middle School
Emporia Underground Utilities crews are starting repair work on a water main in northwest Emporia.
Crews were called to 24th and West View Terrace, just north of Emporia Middle School, around 3:45 pm.
Service could well be disrupted in that area, although there is no immediate word on whether the middle school will be impacted.
