One person was hurt in a wreck southwest of Emporia on Tuesday night.
The crash happened on the Kansas Turnpike near mile marker 114, or 13 miles southwest of the Emporia gate. The person, a male, was taken by ambulance to Newman Regional Health for treatment.
Additional information is pending through the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Law enforcement and emergency response agencies are working a reported crash in eastern Chase County.
The wreck was reported on the Kansas Turnpike at mile marker 114 southbound, 13 miles southwest of Emporia and two miles northeast of the Flint Hills cattle pens exit. Early indications are one vehicle is involved.
Southbound traffic will likely be constricted during the emergency response and initial crash investigation.
