USD 252 Southern Lyon County is celebrating another big haul from the Kansas Can Star Recognition Program.
The district was honored in all eight categories for the third straight year — the only district in the state with that designation. Superintendent Ryan Muhlig:
USD 252 received:
*Gold awards in high school graduation and civic engagement
*Silver in social-emotional growth
*Bronze in postsecondary success, kindergarten readiness and individual plan of study
*Copper in academic preparation for postsecondary
The district also received the Commissioner’s Award, recognizing districts that “outperform their predicted postsecondary effectiveness rate” above a certain level.
