So far, there have beeen no weather-related travel issues reported. Roads are clear with temperatures just above freezing at the Emporia Airport. Sunday’s forecast still calls for a possible wintry mix through early afternoon, followed by snow showers and/or sleet through late afternoon. Less than half an inch of total accumulation is expected, although elevated surfaces — bridges and overpasses — may have slick spots.
A winter weather advisory continues for Chase County until 1 pm Sunday. Greenwood County is in a freeze warning from 12 am to 10 am Monday.
