Grant amounts aren’t being divulged, but several area agencies are sharing in $10 million worth of grants through the Kansas Office of Attorney General.
The Kansas Fights Addiction grant program gives funding to rehabilitation facilities, treatment centers, local law enforcement agencies, health providers and emergency response departments.
On the list of agencies serving part or all of the KVOE listening area are:
*Empower House Ministries for its Recovery Residence Program with life skills training
*Friends of Recovery Association to increase the number of Oxford houses, or transitional housing for people recovering from addictions
*Heartland RADAC for the purchase of telehealth equipment to bolster substance use recovery services
Statewide funding goes to:
*CKF Addiction Treatment
*DCCCA for men’s residential and outpatient services
*Kansas Board of Pharmacy
*Kansas Bureau of Investigation
*Kansas Department of Corrections
*Kansas Highway Patrol
*Mirror, Inc
*St Francis Community and Residential Services
Nearly 60 grants were announced to help over 37,000 residents statewide by supporting substance abuse and addiction prevention or recovery services.
