In two weeks’ time, the National Teachers Hall of Fame will be taking over KVOE’s airwaves for the evening.
The 32nd annual KVOE National Teachers Hall of Fame Radio Auction is scheduled to hit the air from Emporia State Federal Credit Union’s Industrial Road Branch on Thursday, November 16. NTHF Director Emeritus Carol Strickland recently joined KVOE’s Morning Show to preview the auction.
Strickland says just like in years past, the auction will feature a great selection of items including trips, artwork, jewelry, sports memorabilia and much more.
In addition to the radio auction, an online component will make its return following its debut last year with a separate lineup of items available for bid.
Proceeds from the auction will, as always, go to support Hall of Fame induction activities in Emporia. The auction will begin at 6 pm and can be heard on KVOE 1400 am and 96.9 fm and can also be viewed on ValuNet Fiber Channel 3.
Auction items can be previewed on nthf.org/breaking-news and NTHF’s social media pages.
To place bids during the radio auction, residents can call or text 620-342-5863 or call 620-342-1400.
