Emporia’s Empower House Ministries is expanding its services to the local community and is offering residents an opportunity to become more familiar with the organization and its newest facility.
After opening a recovery home for female addicts last February, the agency is preparing to open a new recovery house specifically for men. Ahead of the facility becoming operational, Empower House will be providing tours of the facility for residents as part of an open house event on Wednesday.
Like the women’s facility, Empower House Director Melissa Landis says the men’s home will provide several services for recovering addicts including structure and accountability.
The open house will run from 4 pm to 7 pm. If you would like to attend you can contact Landis by calling 620-412-2002 for details and additional information. Empower House was founded by Landis back in 2020 and is a 501-c3 non-profit organization.
