The Emporia State men ran 16th in the NCAA Central Region Championships at the Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course in Joplin, Mo. on Saturday morning. All-MIAA runner Jaime Diaz led the Hornets by finishing 19th with a time of 31:07.80. Henry Jones finished 77th. Tayler Williams led the women by finishing 96th with a 23:03.96. The Lady Hornets did not run enough runners to qualify for team scoring. Finishing outside the top five and not one of the top two individuals not on a qualifying team, Diaz did not qualify for the National Championships.
