USD 251 North Lyon County’s Board of Education has two meetings coming this week — and a day earlier than normal.
Board members are meeting Tuesday instead of Wednesday, and they have one major policy item in mind for the first meeting. The board will start by having a special meeting to have a policy hearing for the district’s pending policy on non-resident or open enrollment.
Non-resident enrollment is also on the regular meeting agenda to follow, although it’s near the end of the meeting. Other items on the agenda include district assessment scores, a Kansans Can Star Award presentation, facility capacities, a discussion on wrestling and vehicle bids.
The special meeting starts at 6:45 pm Tuesday, with the regular meeting to follow around 7 pm. Both meetings will be at the district’s board meeting room in Americus.
