City of Emporia officials say two water main breaks noted Tuesday morning have been fixed.
Breaks were noted in the 1000 block of Lincoln and the 2300 block of Sunset Lake Drive around 7 am. The breaks were announced as repaired after 10 am.

Emporia’s Underground Utilities Department is busy with a pair water main breaks Tuesday morning, one in central Emporia and one in northwest Emporia.
City Communications Manager Christine Torrens says one break is in the 1000 block of Lincoln, just west of the CrossWinds Counseling and Wellness administrative office and near Newman Regional Health. Lincoln is now closed from Grove north to 12th starting just south of the hospital entrance.
Crews are also in the 2300 block of Sunset Lake Drive to handle a block there.
Service may well be affected in both areas. There is currently no impact to Newman Regional Health, but CrossWinds CEO Amanda Cunningham says the main office does not have water service. CrossWinds has shifted its morning therapy appointments to Zoom whenever possible, but the main office remains open.
