Flint Hills Technical College has been named as an eligible college for the 2025 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence.
The Aspen Prize recognizes colleges that demonstrate “outstanding achievement” in six benchmark areas — teaching and learning, certificate and degree completion, transfer and bachelor’s degree attainment, workforce success, access and equity for students of color and low-income environments. The winning college receives $1 million.
Flint Hills Technical College is among seven Kansas colleges and 150 nationwide that are eligible. It was also an Aspen Prize-eligible college in 2021.
College President Caron Daugherty will discuss the nomination on KVOE’s Newsmaker 2 segment at 8:40 am Thursday.
