Head coach Bryan Sailer announced the 2024 recruiting class for Emporia State soccer on Wednesday. The class is entirely made up of players who will join the Lady Hornets for the 2024 season as freshmen and all of the signees currently play their high school soccer in Kansas or Missouri. The signees include:
Madeline Bracy, midfielder, Wichita – 1st Team All-AVCTL @ Eisenhower High School last spring.
Hailey Cancarz, midfielder, St. Peters, Mo. – All-Conference @ Duchesne Academy.
Megan Kephart, forward, Overland Park – Helped lead Blue Valley West to 2023 6A State Championship last spring.
Megan Mahloch, forward, Lenexa – All-Eastern Kansas League @ Blue Valley High School last spring.
Eleanor Marshall, defender, Gardner – All-Sunflower League last spring @ Gardner-Edgerton HS.
Aubrey Seltman – midfielder, Liberty, Mo. – Led Liberty North to undefeated season and state title last spring.
Avery Zimmerman – forward, Topeka – Three-time All-City at Topeka High, All-Centennial League last spring.
The Lady Hornets return to action Thursday in the semifinals of the MIAA Tournament taking on #7 and top seed Washburn at the Stryker Sports Complex in Wichita. Kickoff is set for 3:00 p.m. The match can be viewed on The MIAA Network.
