Emporia Main Street has announced a new development opportunity for people interested in upper-story housing in downtown Emporia.
On Thursday, Main Street unveiled the Turnbull Foundation Upper Story Incentive Program, honoring the late Mike Turnbull — who owned Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home from 1977 until his death in 2019 and was also a longtime Main Street Board of Directors member. Main Street Director Casey Woods says there are a lot of people getting into property development, so the timing is right for this new program.
Developers need to be working with a local financial institution to be eligible for the Turnbull loans, which can be up to $25,000.
Developers can call Main Street at 620-340-6430 for more information.
