A reported structure fire call to an Emporia restaurant turned out to have a different cause altogether.
Emporia Fire responded to Hardees, 1126 East 12th, shortly before 2:30 pm after smoke was noted. Firefighters say the actual cause was a malfunction in an air handling unit.
No fire was found and no injuries were reported.
