Traffic started out strong and stayed strong through the 10th annual Match Day Monday.
That was the report from Emporia Community Foundation CEO Becky Nurnberg who spoke with KVOE News in the evening hours Monday.
This year was the largest Match Day in terms of participation with over 30 non-profit organizations taking part. In addition to the participants, 14 different groups were involved this year in providing the largest matching pool in event history, $175,000.
Nurnberg says the participation by both non-profits and donors will undoubtedly be an enticing attraction for future participants.
Donation totals will be announced on Giving Tuesday, November 28 on KVOE and KVOE.com. Since its inception, Match Day has generated over $2.3 million for nearly 50 non-profits in Lyon and surrounding counties, including over $500,000 in 2022 alone.
