The 2023 MIAA champion Lady Hornet soccer team had three players named to the conference’s All-Tournament team this week. Fifth-year forward Mackenzie Dimarco, junior forward Hadlie Lowe, and sophomore goal keeper Mackenzi Goen were all named to the squad after Emporia State won the title last Saturday at the Stryker Sports Complex in Wichita. The Lady Hornets defeated No. 5 seed Northwest Missouri, top seeded #7 Washburn, and No. 2 seed #17 Central Missouri to win their second tournament title in three years. Emporia State was selected as the No. 2 seed in the Central Region and will host first and second round games at the ESU Pitch this weekend. Emporia State draws Fort Hays State in the first round with kickoff set for 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The game can be viewed on The MIAA Network.
