Lyon County Game Warden Aaron Scheve says there have been some leads to follow as the investigation continues into a deer poaching incident near Americus earlier this month.
Scheve tells KVOE News the alleged incident was reported Nov. 6 on Road 260 between Roads C and D, or about four miles west-northwest of Americus. The buck’s head was cut off and the body was left behind. No suspect or suspect vehicle information has been announced.
This alleged incident comes a year after two likely deer poaching incidents in Lyon County, one Nov. 6 near Roads 70 and X and one Nov. 16 near Roads 170 and T. Scheve says the 2022 cases are still open, but the trails have gone cold. New information will restart these investigations.
