One of the most prolific setter/hitter combinations in the MIAA received honors in the All-MIAA volleyball awards released Wednesday. Junior outside hitter Sandora Sasaki was a unanimous first team pick while freshman setter Brailee Bogle was named honorable mention. Sasaki led the league in kills with 486 and averaged 4.8 kills per set. Bogle received honorable mention honors after registering 899 assists this year on the way to averaging 9.1 assists per set. She also added 222 digs and 25 blocks for Emporia State defensively. Head coach Ken Murczek said Sasaki has been a big reason for the program’s return to the MIAA Tournament.
