Emporia Police officers have arrested one person for allegedly causing criminal damage to a downtown business — and it happens to be an employee.
Police Capt. Ray Mattas says officers took a report of a possible burglary at Kansas Free for Arts, 711 Commercial, around 10 am Wednesday. Instead of finding any evidence of a burglary, officers found several items to be damaged.
Mattas says officers determined the damage came from a business employee, so they arrested Joshua Inman on suspicion of felony criminal damage. Formal charges are pending.
