Everything is ready to go for the KVOE-National Teachers Hall of Fame Radio Auction.
Festivities begin just after 6 pm at the Emporia State Federal Credit Union’s Industrial Road branch. It’s the 32nd straight year for the auction, and Hall of Fame Administrative Assistant Jennifer Baldwin says it’s due to the community support.
Over 60 packages are up for bid Thursday night. To bid, call 620-342-1400 or message information to 620-342-5863. You can view Thursday’s auction at KVOE-TV at KVOE.com or ValuNet FIBER channel 3.
This also dovetails with an online auction underway now through Dec. 1. The bid sheets for both the live and online auctions are available through nthf.org, charityauctions.net and kvoe.com. Baldwin also says there will be a “Fund the Need” for people who want to donate to the auction without bidding on specific items.
All proceeds help to fund next year’s induction ceremonies in Emporia and Washington, DC.
