Osage County deputies made a pair of arrests this week.
On Monday, a deputy did a traffic stop on Interstate 35 near the Waverly exit after an alleged traffic infraction. Sheriff Chris Wells says the deputy found illegal narcotics and a stolen firearm.
Dominick Washington, age 35 of Wichita, was then arrested on suspicion of possessing a stolen firearm, possessing both cocaine and ecstasy and an outstanding arrest warrant.
On Tuesday, a deputy conducted a traffic stop in Osage City after an alleged traffic violation. The vehicle driver, 32-year-old Paige Schrader of Melvern, was arrested on suspicion of possessing meth and paraphernalia, as well as driving with a suspended license and expired registration.
Formal charges are pending against both people.
