Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells says a traffic stop earlier this week led to an arrest on suspicion of drug distribution and other illegal activity.
The stop developed just after 6:30 pm Thursday at Kansas Highway 268 and Berryton Road near Lyndon following an alleged traffic infraction. Wells says illegal narcotics were found in the vehicle, so the driver, 41-year-old Theresa Dent of Pomona, was arrested on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute, interference with law enforcement, driving with a suspended license and an outstanding arrest warrant for unspecified legal matters.
Formal charges are pending.
