Burlington Police officers are investigating a reported burglary to the city’s American Legion post earlier this month.
The department’s social media says Post 38, 113 North Third, was burglarized at some point between 10:30 am Nov. 9 and 9:15 am Veterans Day. Officers noted pry marks on the south door, which was inoperable. Officers also say the file cabinet, safe and two notebooks containing checks were “tampered with” but nothing was taken.
Nearby property owners also had nothing suspicious to report.
